Teleprompter
Paste your script and read it hands-free. Adjust the scroll speed and text size, and flip on mirror mode for beam-splitter rigs.
Reading isn't the goal — connecting is.
Practice with Orai to sound natural off the page, not just read from it.
How to use a teleprompter well
A teleprompter is only as good as your prep. Set the scroll speed to match your natural pace - it should feel slightly slow at first. Keep the text large enough to read at a glance so your eyes don't dart. The mirror mode flips the text horizontally for use with a beam-splitter glass rig, where the camera shoots through a two-way mirror.
The pros write for the ear: short sentences, simple words, and natural phrasing. Rehearse with the prompter a few times before recording so your delivery sounds spoken, not read. Your script never leaves your browser.
